Van Diaries: Naming the Damned Thing…

Naming the damned thing: Like all members of a family the Van needs a name. Normally it is kind of easy. My car is named The Firetruck because it’s red (naming doesn’t have to be complicated). The Husband’s car is named Mario because – well its really looks like Super Mario. And it’s Italian.

But what to call an old American Van?

The Husband suggested: John (like in John Wayne)

I suggested: Rambo Liberty….

10 things concerning women and cars…

(Women start driving, please!)

This just have to be said: Fellow Women out there: Get up , put your ass behind the wheel and start driving the car. NOW.womandriving

Why is it that so many women suddenly lose the ability to drive a car as soon as they get into a relationship? Look around you and into the cars driving by. Most likely there is a person with a penis sitting behind the wheel and a vagina siting next to him.

Why is it so?
She has a driver’s license. She probably used to drive a lot before she met the boyfriend. The car he is driving can even be hers. But still she sits on the passenger’s seat most of the time. Why is this so?

My Bucket List – the real one,

Well I realized something: Do I really want to see and do these things that I just wrote on my Bucket List?

I mean – was it something coming from my own heart and soul or was it something I have learned I should want to do?

Everybody wants to go to China and walk the Chinese wall. But why? Is it because we have read about this so many times and seen it in movies and TV that we kind just got this programed in our heads?BrainAndSoul.Org (22)

Like traveling to a new country or a new city and just going to the places mentioned in the  guide book. it seems like not thinking by ourself has become a trademark for a lot of people. Instead of focusing on what we want to do with our lifes we do what we are supposed to do and by that letting others decide where we go and become.

So I have revised my Bucket List: This is what I really want to do in my life before I die:

Happy Meals for a Widow‏

Since my dear Dad past away my Mother has lost her joy for cooking. I understand that for her it is no longer fun to create a tasty meal and serve it nicely. It’s not the same anymore and will never be like before again. Eating by herself is only reminding her of the past.

However the consequences of this worries me.  She is not a too big as it is and she risk losing to much weight.

So I came up with this list of recipies to help her to start cooking again. I found a collection of tasty and easy meals that she could prepare for herself.

Someday in the near future these meals will be created by my very good friend K……

My Bucket List

After some thoughts I came up with these items for my bucket list: Visiting New Zeeland See the Chinese Wall See the Nasca Drawings Live by the sea Travel to the Caribbean Try Scuba Diving...

10 stupid things to avoid (and trust me I have tried them all).

I have done many stupid things in my life. Let me share some of them with you so maybe you can do your own mistakes instead of repeating mine.

1: Saying No to a Great Opportunity
Oh, this is so stupid. And it is even worse if you say no just because your boyfriend / girlfriend do not want to go along with you.
In my case I turned down my dream job. This job had everything I had hoped for: A great career, traveling to exotic countries and doing something good at the same time. However my winning argument Not to grip this opportunity was (embrace yourself): My boyfriend could not come with me…
